A Sweet Day | Fairtrade

A week or so ago I got the chance to go along to the Fairtrade press day. I was excited to learn more about Fairtrade and to see what new products were out.

Admittedly I've never been one to go out of my way to purchase Fairtrade goods but after today I definitely will be making the concious decision to go Fairtrade, especially considering I'm from a third world country myself and I know the huge impact fair trading can have on an economy that needs it.

I was excited to see that many of the products were going to satisfy my sweet tooth, everything from Fudge to my all time favourite chocolate brand Green & Blacks. My love affair with this brand started during my weight loss journey. I loved a good treat on a Friday evening so I'd always grab a White Chocolate Green & Blacks bar from the shelf. On the press day I got to taste their new THIN range and OH MY GOODNESS THE SALTED CARAMEL FLAVOUR CHANGED MY LIFE.

Now lets talk drinks. After the event, me and my friends headed to the Soho garden to relax in the sun. I had a look through my goody bag and found the Lemonaid Lime drink and the ChariTea Red drink, both were perfect for such a hot, muggy day! I love that all the ingredients are 100% organic and of course, fairly sourced and traded. I could really do with a crate of this stuff to last me the rest of summer!

It's not all food and drinks when it comes to Fairtrade, you can also get some skincare bits. I loved the Body Butters from Honeystreet Handmade. The aromas they create are just heavenly!

I have been completely converted to a Fairtrade shopper!
