My September Goals

If you didn't know already, Autumn is my absolute favourite season. The weather is just perfect, especially if you're a runner because its neither too hot nor is it too cold. Though as I write this looking out into my garden, there is a consistent light drizzle of rain that typically isn't suited to Autumn weather where I live. 

If you've watched my Gap Year? video, you'll know that I'm not heading off to school or uni this year! So it's a little bit strange but I still feel that burst of motivation and productivity that I get around this time of year. 

Now i'll be honest, I feel like I've been slacking for a LONG time.  I can't remember the last time I successfully achieved a health and fitness goal. A-levels really did stress me out and though I thought I could get control over the summer holiday's, it turned out I just needed a break from everything so I let myself have a good time.

I feel funny writing this out because I already feel like I wont achieve these goals but if there's one thing I learnt from my weight loss journey, it's that you have to KEEP FIGHTING if you ever want to achieve your goals. 

1. Get my Body Fat % down 

I'm not necessarily looking to lose weight or be smaller as such, but in order to show more muscle definition I will need to burn some fat. I've also noticed some cellulite developing on my thighs and I'd like to reduce that as best as I can. 

2. Be Consistent 

One of my main problems at the moment is I'm not consistent. The problem is I'm currently working out and eating as if I want to maintain, when in reality I want to make progress. If I want to reach my goals, I have to be consistent in order to reach my goals.  So that means keeping my workouts at a consistent high level and well...eating less brownies. 

3. Wake up at 8am everyday 

I am completely in control of my day at the moment, I have no commitments, no classes or anything for me to wake up early for BUT I'd rather get myself up early and seize the day! At the moment I get up at around 9am but by the time I'm done with breakfast and scrolling through Instagram, it's already 10am and I feel like my morning has already been wasted. 

4. Keep Active

As I said, I am in complete control of my day, If I wanted to, I could just stay in bed all day and do nothing. Sure, I have a couple of chores I need to get done daily but for the majority of the day I could just sit around. So other than my daily workout, I want to make sure I find something to keep me active. Maybe some gardening, DIY projects, long walks...I don't know, give me some ideas! 

5. Believe in myself

Lately I've been pretty negative about myself, which is TERRIBLE. As I take my next step into a career of health and fitness, I find myself thinking I'm not good enough and I never will be. I follow all these health and fitness Instagram pages and I see all these inspiring women with AMAZING bodies and I wonder If I will ever be able to get to their level. I just can't imagine myself having that level of dedication and it makes me lose hope in myself. BUT I NEED TO STOP THIS! and take my own advice! When I was losing weight, I never stopped believing in myself and it's definitely why I achieved my goals.
