My Favourite Evening Teas

I am an absolute tea fanatic so whilst everyone is crying over summer coming to an end, I'm excited for those chilly nights where you're all tucked up in bed with a nice cup of tea.

The last two weeks or so have been quite chilly, especially during the evenings so I've found myself having a little routine and that involves bringing a nice cup of tea up to my room.

My first favourite is Lapsang Souchong tea. I first discovered this last year, I was roaming the tea isle and it just caught my eye. I'm not going to lie, I definitely judge a book by its cover and I absolutely love the designs on the Twining's tea boxes.

Lapsang Souchong is a type of Black Tea and is described as 'Smokey and Mysterious'. This description is so SPOT ON! This is because the Lapsang leaves are smoke-dried over pinewood fires which gives the tea that distinctive smokey smell and taste.

Like all teas, Lapsang has many health benefits such as strengthening your immune system, lowering cholesterol and its even recommended for those looking to lose weight.

My second go to evening tea is Ceylon tea. Again, I just randomly picked this tea up on a grocery trip. This is also a Black Tea and is described as 'Lively and Refreshing'. I suppose this description is fair but I would describe it as comforting, simply because it has a similar taste as English Breakfast Tea which I've been drinking for years. You can drink Ceylon with milk but I prefer it without.

I've been alternating between these two most evenings, sometimes I might opt for a decaf green tea but for now these are my two favs. As it gets colder, I'll be sure to share more of my tea collection and what I'm loving.
