Healthy Banana Bread Recipe

I love anything with bananas in it and banana bread is no exception! Its such a lovely treat to have with a cup of tea.
I realised its SO easy to make this recipe healthier, so I just took my mums banana bread recipe and swapped some of the ingredients for healthier options to make it a guilt free treat. 


  • 1 cal Cooking spray
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 heaped cup mashed banana (2 medium bananas) 
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any other healthy alternative milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups brown/whole meal flour 
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Here is a conversion table for anyone using grams, I live in the UK and we wouldn't typically use cup measurements but they're so much easier to use. You can get a cup measuring set from most shops here now, I got mine from Wilkinson's.
